QuickTime VR on Steroids

An interactive program (for Mac OS-X and Linux) is described for viewing panoramic images from inside a hemispherical dome, for example, a planetarium. Unlike QuickTime VR (and others) which create perspective frustums, this viewer needs to create a fisheye projection. For performance reasons this viewer uses the graphics card for hardware acceleration, namely using OpenGL and a 4 pass rendering process. For more information see panodome
