OzViz: Visualisation Image Exhibition

The organisers are pleased to announce that OzViz 2011 will feature a competitive exhibition of visualisation images. Visualisation practitioners in Australia and New Zealand are invited to submit their most compelling and engaging images, ten of which will be selected for the exhibition.

Entering

Images can be submitted for inclusion in the exhibition by emailing (or via some other mutually convenient method) the image to the organiser (Paul Bourke). Entries are limited to 3 per person, they should be supplied in a standard image format (eg: jpg, png, tif). The images will be printed at approximately A2 size, it will be left up to the entrant to ensure their image is at an appropriate resolution.

Each entry must include the following:
  • An image (obviously).
  • Short title for the image.
  • Credits in the form of the name(s) and organisation.
  • A one paragraph description of the image, maximum length 100 words.

By submitting an image the author(s) agree they have obtained all necessary permissions for including the content in the OzViz exhibition and the right for the images to be published online as long as the credits remain intact. In all other regards the authors retain their full rights and copyright of the images.

  • Opening date: 10 September 2011. [ Entries closed ]
  • Closing date: 6 November 2011.
  • Judging: 7 - 13 November 2011. [ Complete ]
  • Exhibition: During OzViz 2011. 24 - 25 November 2011.
  • Results online: 26 November 2011.
Judging

Judging and final selection will be open to those who have submitted an entry, that is, judging by your peers. The judging will occur in the second week of November and will be conducted online.
